MISSISSIPPI STATE — The Mississippi State University Extension Service Tech Academy honored this year’s participants with a graduation ceremony December 9.

Thomas Brewer, a Mississippi State University Extension Agent/County Coordinator in Jefferson Davis County, participated in the program to learn technology skills that will benefit local Extension clients.

Experts from the MSU Extension Center for Technology Outreach taught five, 4-hour classes and gave Extension personnel hands-on practice to improve their technology-related skills.

Topics included Microsoft Office, Internet applications and image editing. Learning about different communications tools, including cloud-based applications, allows Extension agents to more easily connect with their clients and share educational information.
