Everlean Fairley

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Prentiss First Missionary Baptist Church for Mrs. Everlean Fairley, 86, who died Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Wesley Medical Center, Hattiesburg, MS. Rev. Ronald Barnes, pastor, officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Everlean Fairley was born the second of eleven children to the late Dunkin and Jannie Magee Fairley in Mt. Olive, MS. She received her education in Covington County Public School System and was a member of Friendship M. B. Church where she served faithfully in the choir and assisted with other duties. She retired from Sanderson Farms in Collins, Mississippi. She was a dedicated mother to Evelyn, Ledrew and Catherine.
She was preceded in death by: daughter, Evelyn Fairley and son, Ledrew Fairley; four brothers, J. W., Charlie, Willie and Roy Fairley and two sisters, Erma Hawthorne and Irene Fairley.
She is survived by: one daughter, Catherine Barnes of Prentiss, MS; five grandchildren: Cathy (Lessie) Butler, Teresa (Brad) Fairley, Michael (Shulanda) Fairley, Perry and Terry (Dominique) Barnes; 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fannie Lou Keys and Mary Fairley; two brothers, Frank Fairley and Larcell (Margia) Berkhalter; one aunt, Lonnie M. Carney; many other relatives and friends.
