As I sit here typing this with tears in my eyes at the loss of her, I can’t help but also smile at my memories of her. She was a very sweet, loving, kind, humble woman who never greeted me without a smile. Even later when she could not pick up her head and I would get on my knees to talk to her, she always smiled and had that twinkle of joy in her eyes. Always glad to see me and she would always reach out her hand, and take mine just for a small squeeze of encouragement. She was always so appreciative of any, and everything you did for her and wanted to make sure you knew she cherished her moments with you. I have heard some say it was sad that she passed away on Christmas Day. I don’t agree with that. I think Jesus knew she would be a perfect Christmas Gift for him.

She is survived by her two daughters Margo Reeves, of Oxford, MS and Marcia Reeves, of Hattiesburg, MS; Two brothers, Bill David (Margaret) of Bendale, MS and Tom Davis (Sue) of Vancleve, MS; Five sisters, Annie Jo Goff (Eldridge) of Houston, TX, Virginia Stringfellow (Buster) of Wiggins MS, Irene Merkel ( Don) of Tallahassee, FL, Patsy Ratterman (Russ) of Wiggins, MS and Ayrelia Walker of Perkinston, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A.C. and Vinnie David; her husband Marshall Kirkland Reeves; one son David Reeves and one brother Vernon David.
