Funeral services were held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Powell’s Ministry Church of God in Christ, New Hebron, Mississippi for Mr. Jason “Tub” McInnis, 32, who died Monday, January 4, 2016 at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, MS.

Elder James Powell, pastor, officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jason McInnis was born to the late Claude and Mary Showers McInnis.

He attended Prentiss High School and was a member of Powell’s Ministry Church of God in Christ.

He is survived by: five brothers, Calvin McInnis, Javoria McInnis, Claudrick McInnis all of New Hebron, MS; Auron Smith, Devon Smith and Jason Smith all of Magee, MS; sister, Claumecia McInnis of New Hebron, MS; maternal grandmother, Nellie Walker of New Hebron, MS; step-mother, Pearl Smith of Magee, MS; many other relatives and friends.
