Mr. Kenny Wayne Jones, 56, died Wednesday morning January 20, 2016 at the Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss. Services for Mr Jones were held on Tuesday January 26, 2016 at the Outreach Fellowship Revival Center West of Prentiss, with Pastor Jesse Holloway officiating. Interment was jn the MT. Zion Cemtery, with Laird Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jones was the son of the late Florence Jones and the late Samuel “Bat” Hooker of rural Jefferson Davis County. At an early age he joined the Mt. Zion M. B. Churc~ and remained a member until his death. Mr. Jones was reared and educated in the Jefferson Davis area and worked for the Jefferson Davis County Board of Supervivors for the last few years.

Mr. Jones’ survivors include two brothers, Jerry Lewis of Chicago, and Dennis Earl (Carrie) Jones of Monticello; four sisters, Nancy Hartzog, Mary Frances Bullock Bonita (Lester) Jones,. all of Prentiss,. and Cathy Johnson of GulfPort; a special friend, Lillie “Polly” Sands of Prentiss, and a host of other relatives and friends.
