Funeral services were held Sunday February 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm at L.L. Roberts Methodist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mrs. Jane Bass, age 66, who passed away on February 4th  at her residence in Oakvale, MS. Interment followed in Society Hill Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Steve Tillman and Rev. Glen Shows officiated.  Pallbearers were, Jeremy Miller, Adam Ioino, Brian Robbins, Frank Miller, Rusty Highstreet and Shane Swenson.

Mrs. Jane was born October 29, 1949. She was the daughter of Carroll Williamson and Bettye Janice Moffett. She was a graduate of USM. She taught school in Bassfield, Prentiss and Pearl. She loved gardening, piano and spending time with her children, grandchildren and sisters. She was a member of L.L. Roberts Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Michael Bass (Florance) of Florence, MS; two daughters, Lauren Swenson (Shane) of Payton, CO; Meagan Taggart (Martin) of Bassfield, MS; seven grandchildren, Lane, Caroline, Colton, Nicholas, Andrew, Landon and Ruth Ann; four sisters, Jan Miller (Frank) of Oakvale, MS, Karen Highstreet (Rusty) of Bassfield, MS, Betty Lynn Robbins (David) of Columbia, MS And Susan Echols of Hattiesburg, MS

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Phillip.
