Funeral services were held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Holly Springs C.M.E. Church, Bassfield, Mississippi for Miss Harold Ann Graves, 72, who died Thursday, February 4, 2016 at St. Dominic Hospital, Jackson, MS.  Rev. Eddie Dixon, pastor, officiated with interment following in the Sweetwater C.M.E. Church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral

Home was in charge of arrangements.

Miss Ann Graves was born to the late Clifton and Elberta McCloud Graves in Bassfield, Mississippi.  She joined Holly Springs C.M.E. Church at an early age and remained a member until her death.

She was a member of Carver High School Class of 1961 and was a graduate of Alcorn State University in 1965.  She became an educator and taught at Ames Elementary in St. Louis, MO for several years before returning to her home in Bassfield, Mississippi to teach at Carver Elementary.  She retired from the field of education after 35 years of teaching.

She is survived by: siblings, Jean (Wilbert) Singleton of Jackson, MS, Willis (Helen) Graves of Bassfield, MS; sister-in-law, Bertha Graves of Bassfield, MS; nieces and nephews, Korby (Willie) Brown of Brandon, MS, Kemika (Noah) Booth of Sumrall, MS, Karissa (Lee) Norman of Memphis, TN, Clifton Graves of Bassfield, MS, Rymsky (Brian) Labat of Bay St. Louis, MS and Monique (Mark) Galloway of Hattiesburg, MS; many other relatives and friends.
