Creel to lead Crossgates Baptist concert at PUMC

Prentiss United Methodist Church will host a concert presented by the Crossgates Baptist Church Orchestra on Feb 28 at 4:00 p.m.

The orchestra will be under the direction of Tommy Creel a native of Jefferson Davis County.

Tommy Creel has been involved in Mississippi music-making for over 30 years and is an accomplished keyboardist with expertise in both organ and piano.  For over 21 years, Tommy has served as the Instrumental Director and Organist at Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon.  He is an adjunct professor at Hinds Community College (Rankin Campus) and has taught in the choral music departments at Pearl High School and Pearl Junior High School.  Tommy has been an adjunct accompanist for voice students at Mississippi College and has taught piano, organ, and voice to advanced students and adults in the Crossgates School of Worship Arts.

A native of Prentiss, Mississippi, Tommy attended Mississippi College and earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music/Organ Performance and a Master of Music degree in Instrumental and Choral Conducting.  He has been in full-time gospel ministry for 19 years.

Tommy and his wife, Gigi, live in Brandon and are the parents of a two-year-old son, Asher.

We are extremely proud to host this event and it will be an opportunity for our citizen to hear these talented musicians and have a meaningful worship experience.
