Dr. Michael O. Evans, Pastor of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Collins, delivered an opening prayer to the senate at the invitation of Senator Joey Fillingane, (right), after Lt. Governor Tate Reeves called  lawmakers to order. Dr. Evans is also General Secretary for the Mississippi National Baptist State Convention and District 4 Supervisor for Jefferson Davis County.
