Charlotte Speights Holmes, of Carriere, MS., born February 4, 1944, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016.

She was the beloved wife of Maurice “Maury” William Holmes and mother of Lisa Monnier (Craig), Maury Holmes, III (Dianna) and Alex Holmes.

Holmes was the daughter of the late Hugh Speights and Elna Carraway Speights and sister of Hughlene Perrott, June Daughdrill and the late Robbie Lee Speights Murphy.

She is survived by 5 grandchildren, Mason, Marshall and Myles Monnier, Maury, IV and Sarah Holmes.

She was a retired contract specialist for NASA, a member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), Secretary of the NCMA Greater New Orleans Chapter, and an active member of Trinity Methodist Church.

Services were Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell, LA
Burial will be in the Bassfield City Cemetery, Bassfield, MS, on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
