Merit Health Wesley has named Jennifer Golemon as the 2015 recipient of the Margaret LaFon Employee of the Year Award.

Golemon is a registered nurse and has worked for Merit Health Wesley for 24 years. She serves as the cardiovascular service line manager. She is responsible for overseeing the hospital’s cardiac program and its chest pain and heart failure accreditations.

“I am amazed at how much Jennifer can get done and how well she does it,” said Phebe McKay, chief nursing officer. “She takes exceptional care of our cardiac patients, calling many of them regularly to ensure they have taken medications and that they are following their instructions for care. And, she encourages not only our patients, but also our heart care physicians and staff.”

Jennifer lives in the Shelton community with her husband, Steve, and two children Reid and Mackenzie. She is the daughter of Charles and Liz Reid, and granddaughter of Arlene Reid, all of Carson.
