Lee and Colip united in July ceremony

In the presence of family and friends, Chelsea Renea Lee and Jason Philip Colip were united in marriage on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Hardy Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg at six o’clock in the evening.

The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Johnny Liddell Martin.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Thomas Lee of Prentiss. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Hugh Staples and the late Mrs. Patricia Parish Staples of the Clem community and Mr. and Mrs. George Myron Lee of New Hebron.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Lee Colip of Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Louis Weber of The Villages, Florida, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hilton Colip of New Palestine, Indiana.

A selection of nuptial music was provided by Mrs. Patricia Sinclair Williams, pianist; Mr. Julio Martinez, violinist; and Mrs. Angela Grayson Lee, vocalist.

Selected Scripture from 1 Corinthians 13 was read by Mr. Zachary Haegan Lee. Mrs. Nancy Pickering Shows served as the wedding director.

Presented by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant gown of ivory lace appliqué and English net. The high neckline featured sheer lace and scalloped edging that continued to the back.

Accentuating the waist was a hand-beaded collection of silver beads and Swarovski crystals.

The Cathedral length veil was adorned by matching beads and Swarovski crystals.

The bride carried a romantic bouquet of David Austin garden roses, peonies, white ranunculus, and white hydrangea accented with pale pink dahlias and spray roses.

Attending as Matron of Honor was Mrs. Misty Richard McWhorter, and Maid of Honor was Ms. Sarah Michelle Bayles. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Abigail Grace Blankenship, Ms. Rachel Nicole Lee, and Mrs. Cameron Miller Martin.

The attendants wore spa-colored gowns that featured a sleeveless, pleated bodice with V-neckline and swooping cowl back detail.

Serving as best man was Mr. Benjamin Craig Bandimere. Groomsmen were Mr. Lee Edward Blankenship, Mr. Jonathan Paul Decker, Mr. Ethan Gregory Lee, and Mr. Daniel Harrison Marley.

Miss Ava Lee Joiner served as the flower girl, and Master Landon Cade Newman served as the ring bearer. Master Cole Anthony Blankenship served as honorary ring bearer.

Ushers were Mr. Matthew Michael Bayles, Mr. Jarrod Myron Lee, Mr. Zachary Haegan Lee, and Mr. William Riley McWhorter.

Serving at the guest registry was Mrs. Brooke Jones Williamson. Program attendants were Ms. Anna Katherine Lee and Ms. Kaitlyn Brooke Lee, who also served as the bride’s proxy.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Southern Oaks House and Gardens. After enjoying a catered buffet and an evening of dancing, family and friends bid the newlyweds farewell under a dazzling arch of sparklers.

On the eve of the rehearsal, Mrs. Patricia Williams welcomed family and friends of the bride and groom into her lovely home for a family dinner. Hosts and hostesses were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hathorn, Mr. and Mrs. David Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Parish, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Whittington.   On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a charming “Be Our Guest” themed rehearsal dinner at Hattiesburg Country Club.

After a weeklong honeymoon to Walt Disney World, the couple is at home in Hattiesburg.
