Adam “A. W.” Brinson

Funeral Services were held Monday May 16, 2016, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Adam Warren “A. W.” Brinson, age 79, who passed away on May 13, 2016, at UMC Hospital in Jackson, MS. Interment followed in Mt. Zion  Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Dwayne Mayo and Rev. Vernon Terrell officiated.  Pallbearers were:  Joel McRaney, Clay Traylor, Quin Bullock, Joe Roney, Howard Reddoch, Colin McRaney, Andre McRaney and Ricky Bullock. Honorary Bearers were: Harry McRaney, Dwight McRaney, Tommy Loftin, John Emmitt Magee, John Mike Hudson, Ralph Weldy, Buddy Bullock and Doyle McRaney.

“A. W.” was born August 14, 1936. He was the son of Garland Brinson and Mavis McRaney Brinson. He was a graduate of Carson High School. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years for a stump grinding business. He was a member of Lone Star Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Karon Brinson of Prentiss, MS; his son, Greg Brinson (Connie) of Brookhaven, MS; his daughter, Gia McPhail of  Collins, MS; three step daughters, Delta McDow of Brandon, MS, Marcella Holsonback of Satsuma, AL and Kristen Rawson of Troy, AL; four grandchildren, Hunter McPhail, Hagen McPhail, Adam Brinson and Landon Brinson; and two great grandchildren, Easton Brinson and Falyn McPhail.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel, and his parents.
