Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Rena Smith, 50, Mount Olive, MS were held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2PM from Mt. Zion Jr. Missionary Baptist Church, Mount Olive, MS.  Pastor Leonard Keyes Jr., officiated the services.   Interment was in the church cemetery.  Reeves Funeral Home, Inc., were in charge of the arrangements.

Honorary Pallbearers:  David Smith, Michael Smith, Clifton Jackson, Mark Smith, Marvin Smith, and Kal Woodard.

Active Pallbearers:  Lt. Curtis Keys, Lyndarius Smith, Thomas Keys, Dorian Coleman, Kendrick Smith, and Mario Smith.

Flower Bearers:  Grandchildren and Nieces.

Mrs. Smith passed away April 30, 2016 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS.

Mrs. Smith attended school in Jefferson Davis County, Prentiss, MS.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Jr., Baptist Church, Mount Olive, MS.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Smith, Sr., and one brother, Jessie “Duke” Smith, Jr.

Survivors include, her mother, Beatrice Smith, 6 children, Belinda Smith, Latonya Smith, Monique Smith, Rochelle (Clifton) Jackson, Mechelle Smith, and Alisa Smith, all of Prentiss, MS; sisters, Katie (Reverend Robert) Ross, Prentiss, MS, Rosita Carter, Magee, MS, Martha (C. L. ) Keyes, Prentiss, Helen (Charles) White, Mt. Olive, Margaret Smith, Prentiss, Laricia ( Mikel ) Johnson, Magee, and Greta (Milton) Smith, Prentiss.  4 brothers, David Smith, Michael (Nancy) Smith, Mark Smith,  Marvin Smith, all of Prentiss,  8 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
