FleetWay Market, owned by Fleet Morris Petroleum of Madison, started ground work at its upcoming facility at the corner of Hwys 35 and 42 in Bassfield.

The new location will be approximately 7,500 square feet and will include a 50 seat full restaurant along with a deli, convenience store, and mini market. It will offer gas and diesel under separate canopies.

This new location will replace the Bassfield Service Center located across the highway. Bassfield ServiceCenter has been a locally owned business for over 50 years. Fleet Morris took over fuel operations after acquiring the property in the early 90’s.

The old station will be remodeled and turned into a complete farm supply center after the new operation is up and running.

Hal Daley is in charge of the construction work and will be using as much local businesses in all phases as possible.

When in full operation,  both facilities will employ 20 to 25 new jobs to the area.
