Dennis Earl Jones, 61 of Monticello, Mississippi, died on Monday, May 30, 2016, at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello.

Born Tuesday, March 29, 1955 in Prentiss, Mississippi, he was the son of Samuel Hooker and Florence Jones.

Funeral services were held  at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday June 4, at Bethany MBC, located at 696 China Grove Rd, Jayess, Mississippi. Rev. Jessie Holloway officiated.

Interment was in Mt. Zion MBC Cemetery, Prentiss.

Visitation was held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3,  at Laird Mortuary, 919 2nd St, Prentiss, and 10:00 a.m. to service time on Saturday at Bethany MBC
