Funeral Services were held Wednesday June 8, 2016 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss, MS, for Mr. James E. Lee, Sr., age 79, who passed away on June 5, 2016 at his residence. Interment followed in Santee Baptist Church Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Jack Andrews officiated.  Pallbearers were: Charles Blythe, Kenneth Lee, Zachary Cooper, Daryl Rodgers, Perry Cooper, Sr., Thomas Burton and Cory Null.

Mr. James was born August 4, 1936 in Carroll County, MS. He was the son of Samuel Lee and Ester Day Lee. He was retired disabled from the Army National Guard. He was a member of Cherith Baptist Church in Carson, MS.

He is survived by three sons, James Lee Jr. of Cleveland, MS, Johnathan Wade Lee and Anthony Wayne Lee both of Bassfield, MS; one daughter, Debra Ann Walker of Magee, MS;  two step-sons, John Cain of Bassfield and Robert Cain of Brandon, MS;  five step-daughters, Betty Larry and Judy Jones of Bassfield, Connie Reid of Leesburg, MS, Francis Garcia of Murfeesboro, TN and Elisa Rock of Bassfield, MS; one brother, Charles Lee of Baassfield; two sisters, Gladys McCoy of Jackson, MS and Grace Lee of Cleveland, MS; twenty eight grandchildren, forty two great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
