Hello from Pastor Rogers and the Silver Creek Church Family.

This week’s news begins with a bang! We celebrated the 90th birthday of our oldest deacon, A.G. Magee.

The celebration was held on June 8, 2016 following prayer meeting.

His family shared cake and ice cream in the fellowship hall.

This event came as a surprise to Deacon Magee. He enjoyed the evening with family and friends.

More celebration followed on Sunday, June 12th during the morning service as the “designated” birthday person.

He received the birthday collection! Happy Birthday Deacon A.G. and many, many, more!

We were glad to see Sis. Glennith Carr, Sis. Faye Newsome, and Bro. Tony Watts back in service.

We missed their warming faces and smiles. Sis. Rogers was missed, but we know she was thinking about us. We wish her well and we will continue to pray for her complete recovery.

Pastor Rogers came with the word.

“The Boldness of a Transformed Life”—Acts 4:13.

The message was well-received by all in attendance.

Some members are preparing for the national congress (Sunday School and Baptist Training Union) in Birmingham, Alabama—June 12-17. 2016. We pray a safe journey for them and a safe return.

Until next week be blessed!
