Hello from Pastor Rogers and the Silver Creek Church Family.

This week a surprise birthday celebration was held at the Collins Civic Center for Sis. Elois Gholar.

She was surprisingly greeted by friends and family.

“We got you”—were the sentiments expressed by her guests. She enjoyed the festivities after Ms. Rose Powell settled her down.

Singing by her granddaughters Kia Caraway and praise dancing by NaKia, Courtney, and Harmony (other granddaughters) were among the many activities presented.

She enjoyed a lovely sit down meal and gifts! Happy Birthday “Sis. Elois”!

Sunday services were filled with Sunday School and the morning worship.Rev. Rogers’ message was “Are You Planted” –Acts 13:48-52.

For the afternoon service, the Lawrence, Lincoln, and Jefferson Davis Annual Youth for Christ Program convened.

Many delegates were present and participated on program. M.J. Ross came back to the body to give personal thanks for the financial assistance he had received for college.

T.J. Walker also sent a financial “thank you” for the assistance he had been given when he was a college student.

He also challenged others that had been helped through the Institute and Convention to do the same.

Next week, we welcome Sis. Erma Walker!

We have missed her and welcome her return.

Until we meet again, be blessed!
