With the oppressive heat wave and half the family with summer colds the Burnhams chose to spend the 4th of July holiday indoors this year and I didn’t hear any complaints. Our only venture outdoors was to show Ava and Eve their Pappy’s garden where the fresh tomatoes and cucumbers grew. We take this miracle of nature for granted but these girls had never seen it and thus gave us a chance to look at the process again with new eyes.

We finished up VBS last week and then several of our WS members went to Bay St. Louis for the funeral of Mr. Toxie Hall, a dear man we fell in love with while he spent time with his daughter, Diane Bass and her family. Our prayers go to the family as they adjust to his homegoing.

Sunday Carter Russell came forward to profess that he had accepted Christ as his savior. We welcome Carter

Items we are asked to bring this month for Operation Christmas Child are clothing items like socks underwear, shoes, etc., whatever will fit in the shoebox. Remember this ministry reaches children who would not otherwise hear about the love of Jesus Christ.

Guest speaker for WS homecoming this year will be John Greene. We look forward to seeing old familiar faces visiting the 2nd Sunday in August.

Revival services will begin July 24-27 led by Dr. Malcolm Ellis. He is a great expository preacher and a dear friend of ours. He is an expert at opening your eyes to the scriptures.
