Mrs. Debra Lott, 64, died Wednesday July 20, 2016 at the Community Place Facility in Jackson. Services for Mrs. Lott were held on Saturday July 30, 2016 at the Mt. Cannel M. B. Church with Pastor James Dampeer and Pastor Ambrose Tabb officiating. Interment was in the Griffith Cemetery, with Laird Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lott was the daughter of the late Clarence Lott of Prentiss and the late Lela Mae Walker Lott of Prentiss, who were living in Jackson at the time of her birth. At an early age she joined the New Greater Day Church in Jackson, and remained a faithful member until her health failed. Mrs. Lott lived next door to the church and provided security for the church from time to time. As a professional security guard, Mrs. Lott worked security for a number of companies and locations throughout the metro area.
Mrs. Lott’s survivors include two sons, Ramon (Ashley) Wilks of Mobile, AL, and Clarence Lott of Jackson; one sister Ruthie Gray of Texas; one brother, Anthony Lott; one aunt Eddie Jane Easterling of Prentiss; three grandchildren, Tamon, Tamirra, and Landen Wilks, all of Mobile; and a number of other relatives and friends.
