Funeral services were held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. George Rowan “Randy” Norwood, 70, who died Saturday, August 6, 2016 at his residence.  Rev. Edgar Lee officiated with interment following in the Oak Grove M. B. Church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. George Norwood was born to the late Eddie and Mevelle Norwood in Prentiss, MS.  He attended Prentiss High School.  He attended Oak Grove M. B. Church.

He was preceded in death by: son, Eddie R. Norwrood: two brothers, Roland and Rodney Norwood; sister-in-law, Patricia Smith-Norwood, special friend, Ethel Jean “Dolly” Hall.

He is survived by:four sisters, Katherine (Bobby Ray) Barnes and Sandra Norwood both of Houston, TX; Sonja Banks of Mobile, AL; Joyce (Louis) Jones of New Orleans, LA; son, Eddie (Santina) Norwood of Houston, TX; aunt, Flossie Powell; five step-children, Geraldine Hicks, Christopher (Loisteen) Hall, Sabrina Hall all of Prentiss, MS; Deborah Hayes and Natasha Hall of Collins,MS; many other relatives and friends.
