Funeral services were held Saturday, August 13, 2016 at St. Paul M. B. Church for Master Messiah Terrell Griffith, 4, who died Thursday, August 4, 2016 in Jefferson Davis County.  Rev. Henry Kelly, pastor, officiated with interment following in the Reese Cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Master Messiah Griffith was born at Forrest General Hospital to Brittnay Griffith and Belton Sims. He attended G. W. Carver 2 Head Start Center.  He was known throughout the community for his generous smile and active energy.  Messiah enjoyed watching Paw Patrol, Mickey Mouse and Peppa Pig. His favorite superhero was Spider Man, his favorite sport was football which he loved playing with his cousins.

He was preceded in death by: great-grandmother, Mary Nell Rayborn and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hayes Griffith.

He is survived by: mother, Brittney Griffith; father, Belton Sims; grandparents, Billie Nell Griffith; Terry Boykin, Shandale (Keshanta) Wilson, Terri (Tate) Nelson and Velton Williams; great-grandparents, Rex and Bernadine Magee, Mr. and Mrs. James Sims; one sister, Harmonee Harris, two brothers, Konner Sims and Kolton Sims; six aunts; and many other relatives and friends.
