Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS. Interment followed in Prentiss Cemetery.  Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss, MS handled all arrangements.

Rev. John Hancock officiated.  Pallbearers were: Evan Myrick, Tim Anderson, Bobby Crain, Bruce Camp, Sonny Everitt and David Ratcliff. Honorary pallbearers were: Bobby Strahan, Tony Oswald, Bobby Clark, Wayne Anderson and Byron Myrick.

Mrs. Peggy was born on October 7, 1936 to Claude Polk and A.D. Yates Polk.  She was a USM graduate and worked as a registered nurse for many years in Jackson and Prentiss, MS. She worked as a Medicare specialist for Magnolia management in Jackson, MS. She was a member of Court St. Methodist Church in Hattiesburg, MS.

She is survived by her daughter Celia Brinson of Petal, MS; Two grandchildren, Evan Myrick and Makenzie Brinson; Her brother, Nira Polk of McHenry, MS and a special friend, Angie Day Grace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son David.
