Voter registration deadline Saturday

If you would like to vote in the November election and haven’t registered, time is running out.

Voter registration deadline is this Saturday, October 8 by 12 noon.

This includes new registrations, as well as changes of address on existing registrations.

Voters will be required to provide identification verifying their address at the polls.

If you have renewed your driver’s license online and registered to vote over the internet, it is possible that you are still not registered.

Anyone that registered on a website is urged to contact the Circuit Clerk’s office to make certain you are in fact registered to vote.

Absentee voting has begun and will continue until noon the Saturday before election day.

You may vote absentee if you are disabled, over 65, will be out of the county on election day, or work all day during voting hours.

You may pick up an absentee ballot at the Jefferson Davis County Circuit Clerk’s office.

The Jefferson Davis County Circuit Clerk’s office is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The office will also be open the two Saturdays prior to the election from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
