Celestine Bass Fairman was born December 5, 1929 to the late Alex and Edna McNair Bass in Bassfield MS. God called her from labor to reward on October 7, 2016 at Jefferson Davis County Hospital. Services were held on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at Holly Springs CME Church in Bassfield, MS.

Celestine became a Christian when she was a young girl and began her work in Christ’s kingdom in Holly Springs CME Church and has been a faithful and ardent worker for many years.

Celestine was especially loyal to the work of the Stewardess Board and Missionary Society and other church auxiliaries. She never refused a task because she was already busy or she was too tired. Today, we pay tribute to a person who has lived among us as one was about doing good and who always put Christ first in everything she did.
