Bro. Vincent Adrea Keys, 48, died Thursday October 13, 2016 at the Courtyard Rehabilitation Center in McComb. Services for Bro. Keys were held on Saturday October 22, 2016 at the Sweet Beulah Church of God in Christ, where Bishop M. L. Butler is Pastor, with Elder Timothy Curry officiating. Interment was in the Rose Hill Church Cemetery in Silver Creek, with Laird Mortuary in charge of all arrangements.
Bro. Keys was the son of Robert E. Lewis and the late Kathern Keys Davis of rural Lawrence County. At an early age, he joined the Sweet Beulah COGIC where he remained a member until his death. He served his Lord and Church as a soloist, President of the YPWW, as well as MC for numerous programs all over Mississippi.
Bro. Keys was reared and educated in the Lawrence County area prior to working for Prentiss Complex prior to working as the finance manager for Honda of Brookhaven and Legacy Toyota for most of his adult life. After his health Failed, Bro. Keys spent his twilight years in the care of nursing homes including Courtyard Rehabilitation Center in McComb. Bro. Keys married the former Felicia Laird of California, and to this union two children were added.
Bro. Keys survivors include his wife, Felica L. Keys; two children, Tre Laird, and Destiny Keys, both of Brookhaven; one sister Melissa McClendon; two nieces; two nephews; and a number of other relatives and friends.
