Funeral services for James Peyton were held Saturday, Dec.10, 2016, at Oak Grove M. B. Church, Monticello with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Joseph Lewis officiated. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Peyton, 68, died Dec. 8, 2016, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland.

Mr. Peyton was born to the late Percy and Jessie Bell Peyton.  He was educated at McCullough High School. He was married to the late Lillie M. Daughtry.

Survivors are his two brothers, Bobbie Peyton of Monticello, and Shirley (Shelia) Peyton of Wesson; and one sister, Ruby Peyton of Monticello, MS;
