Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel for Helen G. Lee, 85, who passed away Jan. 2, 2017, at the Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello. Interment followed in Whitesand Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss, handled arrangements.

Rev. Charles Burnham officiated. Pallbearers were: David Lee, Wade Fuller, David Fuller, Jessie Blue, Ron Riley and Bobby Rushing.

Mrs. Lee was born in Monticello, on May 14, 1931, to Eli Gill and Lena Ward Gill. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, James Riley of Braxton; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Bealer of Carson, and Mary Ellen Killingsworth of New Hebron; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cleo Fuller and Pearlie Fuller, both of Prentiss.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one sister.
