Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Christ Temple Church of Christ Holiness USA for Mr. Charles Bourne, 83, who died on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017 at Jeff Davis Community Hospital.  Rev. Rickey Buckley officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Charles Bourne was born to the late Warren and Alice Bourne in Oakvale.  He was a member of Christ Temple Church of Christ Holiness USA.  He attended Oakvale School.  He worked in pipeline industry for 20 years, logging for 15 years and later retired.

He was preceded in death by Charles R. Haynes and Donald Bourne.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Nell Bourne; five children, Robert L. Coleman of Oakvale, Renea Bourne of Oakvale, Neva Holmes of Prentiss, La Don (Susan) Bourne of Oakvale, and Robert C. (Danielle) Bourne of Oakvale; 23 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
