Chuck Homan

Funeral services with full military honors for Chuck Homan were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at the Wade Funeral Home Chapel in Collins.
Mr. Homan, 75, passed away from this life Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, in Hattiesburg.
Rev. Nathan Barber officiated and interment followed in the Old Chapel Cemetery in Covington County. Wade Funeral Home was charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Trent Hanegan, David Hanegan, Greg McRaney, Jabe McRaney, Garrett McClure, and Colby Graves. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Jasper McRaney and Tony Thompson.
Charles Walter Homan was born on July 13, 1941, in Ohio to Gilbert and Geneve Homan. Mr. Homan was retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served with distinction in Vietnam. His service lasted more than 25 years, with his final post being superintendent at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi. Mr. Homan was an avid golfer and was a member of The Methodist Church.
Mr. Homan was preceded in death by his mother and father and a grandson, Christopher Powell.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Rose Roth Homan of Collins; two daughters, Kim McLaughlin of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Tasha McRaney and her husband Greg of Prentiss; two sons, Davis Hanegan of Grand Isle, Louisiana, and Trent Hanegan and his wife Tracey of Collins; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; well as a host of other relatives and friends.
