Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at Friendship M. B. Church, Collins, for Mrs. Mary Ann Magee Preston, 62, who died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at her residence. Rev. Randy Miller officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mary Ann Preston was born to the late Joshua Magee Sr. and Mrs. Lillie K. Magee. She was a member of Friendship M. B. Church where she was a member of the choir. She graduated from Carver High School in 1972 and attended Jones County Junior College. She worked at Sanderson Farms. She was married to the late Jerry Preston and to this union three children were born.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Christopher Magee and Charles Magee.

She is survived by her mother, Lillie K. Magee; three daughters, Senterra (Charles) Barnes, Chanie Preston and Michelle Preston; son-in-law, David Barnes Sr.; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Laura Magee, Patricia (Paul) Flowers, Angela Easterling, Selena (Chris) Magee; four brothers, Joshua (Ouida Faye) Magee Jr., James (Mary J.) Magee and L. M. Magee and many other relatives and friends.
