Demolition began on several buildings on the Prentiss High campus Tuesday. Chalkboards and desks can be seen where classrooms were once full of learning students. Believed to be part of the original campus, the buildings were closed six years ago due to black mold and asbestos. In August, J.E. Johnson Elementary will use the campus for grades K-8 as part of the Jefferson Davis County Consolidation plan.
