Mrs. Novella Pittman Ross was born on Jan. 14, 1920, to the late Gazzie and Carrie Armstrong Pittman of Oakvale.  On March 6, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia, at the age of 97, the Lord called her home.

Mrs. Ross was married to the late Mr. Enioch Ross of Lawrence County, for 58 years. She was an active member of  the China Lee M.B. Church, where she remained a faithful member for over seventy-five years.

She leaves to cherish her memories, five daughters and three son-in-laws: Shirley Ruth Ross Norwood of Missouri; Mary Helena Thompson (Tyree) of Mississippi; Carrie Marie Ross Dickey of Georgia; Stafinee Ross Patterson (Gilbert) of Georgia; and Delphine Denise Williams (Vincent) of Georgia. She also leaves eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. One grandson, Enioch von Darryl Norwood, preceded her in death.

The home going service was held Saturday, March 18, 2017, at China Lee Missionary Baptist Church in Silver Creek.  Interment followed at the church cemetery.  The funeral arrangements and service was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Prentiss.
