Prentiss City Hall will be open Saturday, May 6, for voter registration and absentee voting for the June 6 general election. Prentiss mayor and board of aldermen will be on the ballot.

“It wasn’t necessary for us to have a primary election since all our candidates are running as independents,” said Prentiss City Clerk Missy Jones.

Two candidates have qualified for the Prentiss mayor position. Prentiss Mayor Charley Dumas will face Michael Caldwell in the election.
