Nannie Lou Thetford

Funeral services for Nannie Lou Thetford were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at the Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Thetford, 91, died on Friday, April 21 2017, in New Hebron. Dr. French Tripp and Reverend Joe Gardner officiated. Tony Gray and Dwight Chance provided the musical service. Burial was in the Lone Star Cemetery.

Saulters-Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Charles Blackburn, Mike Booth, Pat Booth, Tim Booth, Terry McRaney, Kendall McRaney, and Forrest McRaney. Honorary pallbearer was Calvin McRaney.

Nannie Lou Thetford was born on April 1, 1926, in Covington County to Leon and Allie Mae McRaney.

Mrs. Thetford was a homemaker and a member of the Prentiss Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, David Thetford; four brothers; one sister; and a son-in-law, Randy Jones.

Survivors include two daughters, Marla Broome and her husband Greg of Carson and Martha Jones of New Hebron; two grandchildren, Grant Jones and Nealie Jones Bryant; one great-grandchild, Eli Bryant; and one sister, Margie Booth of Keystone Heights, Florida; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
