Funeral services were held Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Spring Hill M.B. Church in Silver Creek for Mr. Perry Donaldson, 46, who died April 10, 2017, at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg.  Pastor Roy L. Thompson officiated. Burial was in the Spring Hill Church cemetery. Laird Mortuary was in charge of all arrangements.

Mr. Donaldson was the son of the late Robert Earl Oatis and the late Jessie Mae Donaldson. At an early age, he joined the Spring Hill Church and remained a member until his death.

Mr. Donaldson was an active member of the Spring Hill Male Choir, and loved to sing, “We are soldiers.” Mr. Donaldson had many talents, singing, drawing and laying bricks to name just a few, that he exercised until his health failed.

Mr. Donaldson’s survivors include his sisters, Willie Jewell Donaldson of Pinola and Mary Nell Oatis of Minnesota; one brother Jessie Earl Oatis of Minnesota; one niece Kenyatta Donaldson of Shivers; one nephew Markshawn Donaldson of Mize; a special cousin Alfred (Carolyn) Mikell of Silver Creek and a number of other relatives and friends.
