Funeral services were held Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Oak Grove Church, Monticello, for Mrs. Maggie Bridges, 53, who died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at her residence in Kenner, Louisiana.

Rev. Larry Daniels, Sr., officiated with burial following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Maggie Bridges was born to the late Shelby and Mary Bridges in Monticello. She received her Associate Degree from Phillips Junior College in Clerical.

She is survived by: daughter, Sandi (Damar) Marshall; granddaughter, Naviyah Marshall; two brothers, Grover O. (Vanessa) Ashley and Samuel (Sheba) Ashley.
