Funeral services were held Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Mt. Pleasant Church, Sontag, for Mrs. Wanda Marzette Courtney, 50, who died Friday, April 7, 2017, in Chicago, Illinois.  Rev. Aaron Thompson officiated with burial following in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Courtney was the daughter of the late Bland and Arleavy Marzette.   She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church where she was a member of the Blessed Trinity Choir.

She is survived by: husband, Robert Courtney, children: Lakeisha, Jasmine and Darry; five grandchildren; mother-in-law, Mary Courtney; many other relatives and friends.
