The Town of Prentiss has agreed in principal to allow Point Broadband, a wireless internet provider, to place broadband equipment on one of its water towers, providing service to residents and businesses in the town.

Jeff Couch, a Point Broadband representative, met with the Prentiss Board of Aldermen at its May 16 meeting to explain what they can provide in service and productivity in regards to wireless internet.

“Mr. Couch contacted me the week prior our meeting and wanted to know if providing a tank as a tower for their equipment was an option,” said Mayor Charley Dumas. “Soon after his presentation at our last meeting, the board was convinced to allow Point Broadband a franchise agreement.”
