Funeral services were held May 25, 2017, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, for Mrs. Emma Lee Wilks, 85, who died May 20, 2017, at Oschner Hospital, Kenner, Louisiana. Rev. Jerry Gholar officiated with burial following in the Springhill M. B. Church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wilks was the daughter of the late Louis and Addie Lee Wilks. She was a member of New Home Ministries Baptist Church, New Orleans, Louisiana where she served on the Mother’s Board. She was a former nurse assistant at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lacey of New Orleans, Louisiana, and brother, Bobby Wilks of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
