Funeral services for Kathryn Davis Shivers were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Old Hebron Baptist Church in New Hebron.

Mrs. Shivers, 88, died on Monday, May 29, 2017, in Prentiss. Burial was in the Whitesand Cemetery. Reverend Terry Phillips officiated.

Pallbearers were Daniel Shivers, Greg Ratcliff, Ricky Shivers, Mike Shivers, John Shivers and Rocky Shivers. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Shivers was born Dec. 28, 1928, to Ben and Martha McNease Davis. She was a homemaker but had previously worked as a dietician for 20 years with Jeff Davis Extended Care Facility.

Survivors are three sons, Bill Shivers of New Hebron, Jerry (Ann) Shivers of D’Lo  and Joe Carroll (Gayle) Shivers of Mobile, Alabama, three grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and  three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Sherril and JoBernizer of Chico, California; as well as a host of other relatives, and friends.

Mrs. Shivers was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, one grandson, two brothers and two sisters.
