Funeral services were held Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Friendship M. B. Church, Collins, for Mr. Lavon Price, 63, who died Friday, June 2, 2017, at Covington County Hospital, Collins.  Rev. Randy Miller, pastor, officiated with burial following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lavon Price was born to the late Leo Price and Mrs. Arlena Booth Price. He attended Carver Middle School for his education.  He joined Friendship M. B. Church.  He worked in New Orleans, Louisiana for years as an assistant manager. He was also employed at Sullivan Motor’s in Collins.

He is survived by: two sons, Lavon Price, Jr. of Hammond, Louisiana and Roderick Otis of Kentucky; mother, Arlena Booth Price; two sisters, Mary O’Banion and Lena Carter both of Collins; and one grandson, Lavon Price III
