Ruby Wigington

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Wigington were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2017, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Magee.  Mrs. Wigington, 97, died Friday, June 9, 2017, in Magee. Rev. Trent Sullivan and Rev. Darren Wigington officiated and interment was in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Pallbearers were Mitch Wigington, Chris Wigington, Tracen Wigington, Jordan Wigington, Joshua Wigington, Bryan Wigington and Kyle Wigington.  Honorary pallbearers were Chris Maul and Will Davis.

Mrs. Wigington was a homemaker and she held the distinction of being the oldest member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church at the time of her death.

Mrs. Wigington is survived by two sons, Carroll Otis (Martha) Wigington of Prentiss and Charles Hubert (Hazel) Wigington of Heflin, Alabama; four grandsons, David Wigington (Becky) of Prentiss, Chris Wigington (Melanie) of Maben, Darren Wigington (Rhonda) of Townsend, Tennessee and Mitch Wigington of Heflin, Alabama; ten great grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren; one brother George Ray Roberson (Jean) of Terry and one sister Bea Henderson of Pearl.

Mrs. Wigington was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Minnie Mae McClendon, two brothers, Betro Roberson and Weber Roberson and one great grandchild.
