Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Dublin Baptist Church in Prentiss for Mr. Carl Dean Kirby, 69, of Carson who died Monday, June 26, 2017, at his residence in Carson. Burial followed in Dublin Cemetery in Prentiss. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Robert Sones and Rev. Scott Murphy officiated. Pallbearers were:  James Kirby, Joseph Kirby, Scott Kirby, Brit Daughdrill, Ethan Daughdrill and Noah Bryant.  Honorary pallbearers were:  Ryland McLendon and Eli Kirby.

Mr. Kirby was born April 4, 1948, in Glendale, Arizona to Carl, Jr. and Mildred Fagan Kirby. He was a carpenter in the construction industry and a member of Dublin Baptist Church in Prentiss.

He is survived by; his wife, Betty Diann Kirby of Carson; two sons, Michael Kirby and Matthew Kirby both of Bassfield; two daughters, Shelia Fuller of Prentiss and Wendy Bryant of Purvis; eight grandchildren, James Kirby, Joseph Kirby, Scott Kirby, Chancey Davis, Brit Daughdrill, Ethan Daughdrill, Noah Bryant, Lucy Fuller; two great grandchildren, Ryland McLendon and Eli Kirby; his mother, Mildred Kirby of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; one sister, Sharon Land of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Kirby Jr.
