Funeral services were held Saturday,  August 5, 2017 at Prentiss First Missionary Baptist Church for Mrs. Brenda Youngblood White, 55, who died Friday, July 28, 2017 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS.  Rev. Kevin Youngblood officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brenda White was the second child born to Troy and Vearmell Youngblood in Prentiss, MS.  She was a member of J. E. Johnson church of the Nazarene and later joined Prentiss First Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Vice president of the choir until her health failed.

She was a graduate of Prentiss High School and Pearl River community College.  She was employed at Jeff Davis Extended Care Facility and the South Mississippi Home Health Services.

Mrs. White was married to Elder Leroy White and three children were born to this union.

She was preceded in death by: son, Leroy White, Jr.

She is survived by: daughter, Valerie White, son, Jeremiah White and two granddaughters, Chrystonia Magee and Mariah Drummond all of Prentiss, MS; mother, Vearmell Youngblood of Prentiss, MS; father, Troy (Carolyn) Youngblood of Biloxi, MS;  brothers, Troy (Samantha) Youngblood, Jr. of Flatwood, KY, Ronald Youngblood and Pastor Kevin Youngblood both of Prentiss, MS; Steven (Shay) Youngblood of Chester, VA and Kevin Youngblood of Biloxi, MS; two sisters, Dr. LaTonya (Derek) Polk of Madison, MS and Sonya (Oliver) Brown of Pearl, MS; many other relatives and friends.
