Funeral services were held Saturday, August 5, 2017 at South Pleasant Hill M. B. Church for Pastor Carnel Patricia Brown, 53, who died Wednesday, July 27, 2017 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS.  Rev. Robert Gholar officiated with interment following in the Restoration Life Chrisitan Center Cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Carnel Patricia Brown was born to the late T. J. and Erma Lee Gholar in Oakvale, MS.  She attended school at Prentiss High School and later became owner of State Bail Bonding Company.  She was called into the Ministry sixteen years ago and served as Pastor with her husband of Restoration of Life Christian Center.

She was preceded in death by: brothers, Levon Gholar and Hollis Gholar; sister, Erma M. Gholar.

She is survived by: husband, Bishop Lee Roy Brown; children, Leroy Gholar, Roger Jones, Sharika Gholar, Terrell Brown, Ticara Brown, Takeivon Brown and Teanna Brown; 6 grandchildren; siblings, Ruthie Smith of Oakvale, MS; Rev. Robert Gholar of Moss Point, MS, Ollie Buckley of New Orleans, LA, Maxine Terrell of Prentiss, MS, Johnny Gholar of New Orleans, LA, Robert Gholar of Oakvale, MS and Dottie Gholar; many relatives and friends.
