Funeral services were held Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Greater Mt. Olive M.  B. Church, Monticello, for Mr. Robert Lee Harris, 80, who died Saturday, July 8, 2017, at his residence.  Rev. Eugene Bryant officiated with interment following in the St. James Church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Robert Lee Harris was born to the late James Harris and Johnnie Flora Broomfield.  He was a member of Quinn Temple Church of God in Christ.  He loved to play his guitar.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnnie Broomfield and Clarence Harris and sister, Dora Lee Broomfield.

He is survived by: niece and caregiver, Rita Hood; brothers, Dewitt (Patsy) Broomfield, Tommie L. (Pauline) Broomfield and Eddie Broomfield; sister, Janice (Curtis) Harris; god-daughter, Catherine Mackey and many other relatives and friends.
