Funeral services were Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Spring Hill M.B.Church for Mr. Wilmon “Pete” Smith, 74, who died Friday, July 7, 2017, at his daughter residence.  Rev. Roy Thompson, pastor, officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wilmon Smith was born to late A. L. Bilbo and Mattie Lee Smith in Jefferson Davis County.  He attended school at Oakley Elementary and graduated from J. E. Johnson High School.  He served in the U. S. Air Force and resided in Michigan and worked at Ford Motor Company for over 30 years.  He later moved home to New Hebron.

He is survived by three sons, Ronald (Cynthia) McCullom of St. Louis, Missouri, Lonzell (Rhonda) Newsome of Collins, MS and Orlando (Donnice) McCullom of St. Louis, Missouri; two daughters, Kathy (Lewis) Armstrong of Prentiss and Michelle Kisto of Parkton, North Carolina and one brother, Robert E. (Alice) Davis of New Hebron; two uncles, Henry and Willie Donaldson; many other relatives and friends.
