Andrew A. Clark

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, for Mr. Andrew Clark, 92, of Silver Creek, who died Thursday, August 17, 2017, at his residence. Burial followed in Lowland Cemetery in Bassfield.  Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss,  was in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was Sunday, August 20, 2017, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.     

Rev. Earl Clark and Rev. Malcolm “Buck” Rester officiated. Pallbearers were Steve Upton, Craig Upton, Michael Clark Jr., Brad Polk, Adam Polk and Jared Polk.

Mr. Clark was born January 18, 1925, in Jeff Davis County, to James Henry Clark and Nora Elizabeth Martin Clark. He was in the Navy and a veteran of WWII. He was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Silver Creek.

He is survived by two sons, Roger Upton (Linda) and Mickael Clark (Ann) both of Silver Creek; one daughter, Marcia “Sissy” Polk (Ken) of Monroe, Georgia; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 66 years, Myrtis Clark; seven brothers and two sisters.
